Hands on Books Project

Designed to be absorbing and to take you on different creative journey’s ‘Hands on Books ’aims to empower participants to enjoy and benefit from the many processes involved in making your own books.

A fortnightly 2 hour practical session is the hub for the project. Discussion  and demonstrations, alongside materials swaps and supported research will inspire participants to develop their own individual book projects, hand made books that they can work on at home as well as in group sessions, creating vibrant and exciting works for their own pleasure, as well as the potential for public display.

All participants will be invited to be part of‘Hands on Books’ online community, where (using WhatsApp and/or email) sharing and discussion can take place outside of practical sessions. Offering all participants multiple ways to feel connected within the wider ‘Hands on Books Project’.

There will be a community contribution required from participants of £3-£6 for each session.
